80MW on grid soar PV power plant system in South Africa

Located in the southernmost part of the African continent, South Africa has latitudes from 22° to 35° south and longitudes from 17° to 33° east.

South Africa is a savanna climate, every year from October to February is summer, June to August is winter, the drier to the west, the more significant the continental climate.

The temperature in South Africa is relatively low compared with other countries at the same latitude in the southern hemisphere, but the average annual temperature is still above zero, usually between 12 and 23 degrees Celsius. In winter, the temperature of inland plateau is low, although there is no regular snow cover, frost is very common.

South Africa has a subtropical monsoon climate, with precipitation mainly concentrated in summer. The annual precipitation drops from 1000mm to 60mm from east to west. There is a lack of rain in autumn and winter, and the grassland is withered and yellow.

Lingtechsolar took into account altitude, latitude, longitude, light conditions, light duration, light radiation, direction, Angle, wind, humidity, salinity, sand conditions, temperature and other factors when designing the project.
